Underlay, density and pull compensation tuned to the garment you are stitching.

Common formats

Files supplied in DST and other popular machine formats on request.

Stitch out proofs

We can test stitch your design so you can see the real result.

Vector files, images, scans and even hand drawn sketches.

Edits & resizing

Need a smaller cap version or a new colourway? We can adapt your file.

What is embroidery digitising?

Embroidery machines cannot read a normal image file. Digitising is the process of converting your artwork into a stitch file that tells the machine exactly where to place every stitch, which direction to run, which colour to use and in what order. A well digitised file is the difference between a logo that looks sharp and one that puckers, gaps or loses detail.

Our team has been digitising company logos and graphics since 2001. We plan each design around the fabric and position it will be stitched on, so a logo for a stretchy sports top is treated differently from the same logo on a structured cap.

Digitising for your own machine

If you run your own embroidery machine, we can supply digitised files ready for you to stitch. Tell us your machine type and preferred format along with the finished size, and we will produce a file that runs efficiently with minimal trims and thread breaks.

What artwork should I send?

Vector artwork such as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG gives the best starting point, but we regularly work from JPG and PNG files, screenshots and even photos of existing embroidery. If your logo has very fine detail, we may suggest small simplifications so it reads clearly in thread.

FAQ

Digitising questions

Cannot see your question? Call us on 01733 345651 and we will be happy to help.

What file formats do you supply?

We commonly supply DST, which works with most commercial machines. Other formats can be provided on request, just tell us your machine make and model.

Can you digitise from a photo?

Yes. A clear photo or scan is often enough for us to recreate your design, although vector artwork gives the most accurate result.

Do I pay for digitising every time?

No. Once your logo has been digitised, we keep the file on record so you do not pay again for repeat orders of the same design and size.

How long does digitising take?

Most designs are digitised within a few working days. Complex artwork may take a little longer and we will always let you know.
